The 41st Cherry Festival in Lanusei celebrates this delicious fruit with a rich program of events. Visitors can explore the NUR ARCHEOPARK and the Bosco Seleni Archaeological and Natural Park, attend a conference on cherry cultivation, and savor typical products along the "Ciliegie, tra forni e cantine" food and wine trail. There will also be exhibition stands, local crafts, music, and traditional Sardinian dances.

The festival runs from Thursday, June 25th to Sunday, June 28th. Each day, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, you can visit the NUR ARCHEOPARK and the Bosco Seleni Archaeological and Natural Park. On Thursday and Friday, starting at 5:00 PM, the Museo Civico F. Ferrai will host a local hobbyist exhibition and the "LIBERAMENTE" show, while Musa Spazio Arte (Via Trento 4) will feature ceramics and crafts. Don't miss the FIERA DEL DOLCE (Sweet Fair) at Macelleria F.lli Piras (Via Marconi) from 5:00 PM. Friday evening, at 9:00 PM in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, enjoy the final concert by students of the Scuola Civica di Musica per l'Ogliastra. Saturday, June 27th, includes a conference on CERASICOLTURA by the ASSOCIAZIONE NAZIONALE CITTÀ DELLE CILIEGIE at 11:00 AM at the Town Hall. From 11:00 AM, Via Roma will host exhibition stands with cherries, seasonal produce, crafts, and food. At 12:00 PM, the historic center comes alive with "CILIEGIE, TRA FORNI E CANTINE," a food and wine trail. Fun competitions like the "SPUTO DEL NOCCIOLO" (Cherry Pit Spitting Contest), MECCANICA Race, and Sack Race kick off at 4:00 PM in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The evening features live music from MISTURA FLUO and TENORES OGLIASTRA along Via Roma and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele from 8:00 PM, followed by Sardinian dances with UNU SERO FESTENDE at 8:00 PM in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. Sunday, June 28th, starts with exhibition stands on Via Roma from 9:00 AM. At the same time, a vibrant parade of folk groups from various towns like LANUSEI, PATTADA, SARULE, and OLIENA will take place along Via Roma. The "CILIEGIE, TRA FORNI E CANTINE" food and wine trail continues in the historic center from 12:00 PM, and the Museo Civico F. Ferrai will host hobbyist exhibitions at 5:00 PM.
