From October 1st to 4th, 2026, Monticelli d'Ongina, in the province of Piacenza, Emilia Romagna, hosts the 51st edition of the Fiera dell’Aglio, a celebration of Monticelli's renowned garlic. This vibrant Sagra also features a historical parade with participants in medieval costumes, bringing the town's streets and squares to life. Monticelli garlic is a prized variety of “piacentino bianco,” known for its excellent quality. The cultivation of garlic dates back to ancient times, even to ancient Egypt.
