Sagra · October 16, 2026 – October 18, 2026 · Calosso (AT)
Nestled in Calosso, amidst the UNESCO World Heritage hills of Monferrato, the Fiera del Rapulé celebrates new wine and traditional Piedmontese dishes. The name "rapulè" refers to late-harvest grape clusters, symbolizing the deep connection to the land. The village's ancient cellars transform into charming taverns, offering local specialties like agnolotti pasta, fritto misto (mixed fried delights), and cured meats, all perfectly paired with local wines. The festival comes alive with folk music, parades, and performances, creating an authentic atmosphere in the gastronomic heart of Monferrato.
Indulge in a rich array of Piedmontese flavors, from classic appetizers like Acciughe al verde (anchovies with green sauce), Insalata di Carne Cruda (finely chopped raw beef salad), and Vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce), to comforting first courses such as Gnocchi al Castelmagno (gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese sauce) and Ravioli del plin al ragù (small pinched ravioli with meat sauce). Main courses feature hearty options like Fonduta with truffle and crostini, and Guanciotto caramellato al Moscato d'Asti (caramelized pork cheek with Moscato d'Asti wine). Don't miss the Rapulotto, a unique street food sandwich with sausage, robiola cheese cream, and caramelized onions. For dessert, savor traditional treats like Torta di Nocciole (hazelnut cake) and Zabaione al Moscato (Moscato-infused custard), all complemented by exquisite local Calosso wines.
