The town of Forio celebrates its Heavenly Patron, San Vito Martire, with solemn festivities that transform the streets and unite the community. This year, the event is part of the XXX anniversary jubilee of the coronation of the Madonna della Libera, offering moments of faith, reflection, and conviviality. The program includes masses, processions, blessings, and festive activities for children, rediscovering the beauty of being a community.
Join the celebrations for San Vito Martire in Forio! The festivities kick off on June 7th with the Solemnity of Corpus Domini, featuring Holy Mass at 9:30 AM in San Carlo and 11:00 AM in the Basilica. In the evening, there's a Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM, followed by the solemn exposition of the silver statue of San Vito at 7:00 PM. On June 8th, the padre predicatore will visit the sick, and children from the Forio deanery are welcomed at 6:45 PM, followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 PM and a special festive moment for children at 8:30 PM. From June 9th to 16th, evenings will feature Holy Masses, guest preachers, and community gatherings. The grand Solenne Processione del Patrono will wind through the streets of Forio on June 17th, concluding with a spectacular fireworks display.
