A solemn religious festival honoring Santa Margherita Maria Alacoque, featuring a preparatory triduum, a procession accompanied by the "G.Verdi" Musical Band from Santa Maria del Cedro, musical evenings with the bands LA CORRIDA and VOGLIA D'ESTATE, traditional Santa Margherita games, and a grand fireworks display. The event includes solemn Eucharistic celebrations and joyful community participation.
The festival runs from August 17-23. From August 17-19, prepare for the main event with preparatory Holy Masses at 7:00 PM. On August 20, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed at 6:00 PM, followed by the Rosary and litanies to the Sacred Heart at 6:30 PM, and a Holy Mass and Triduum at 7:00 PM. The same schedule for the Rosary, litanies, Holy Mass, and Triduum repeats on August 21. On August 22 (the vigil), the Rosary and litanies are at 6:30 PM, followed by the pre-festive Holy Mass and Triduum at 7:00 PM. The evening of August 22 heats up with a musical performance by LA CORRIDA at 9:00 PM. The main festival day, August 23, begins with a procession at 9:00 AM, led by the "G.Verdi" Musical Band from Santa Maria del Cedro. A solemn Eucharistic Celebration will take place in the churchyard at 11:00 AM, including the presentation of the Scudi del Sacro Cuore. At 4:00 PM, head to the Sports Field for the traditional Giochi di Santa Margherita – Memorial Donato Alfano & Egidio D'Anna. Another Holy Mass is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The evening continues with a musical performance by the band VOGLIA D'ESTATE at 9:30 PM, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at midnight.
