A solemn religious festival honoring Santa Margherita Maria Alacoque, featuring a preparatory triduum, a procession accompanied by the "G.Verdi" Musical Band from Santa Maria del Cedro, musical evenings with the bands LA CORRIDA and VOGLIA D'ESTATE, traditional Santa Margherita games, and a grand fireworks display. The event includes solemn Eucharistic celebrations and joyful community participation.
The festivities begin with preparatory Holy Masses from August 17-19 at 7:00 PM. On August 20, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed at 6:00 PM, followed by the Rosary and litanies to the Sacred Heart at 6:30 PM, and Holy Mass and Triduum at 7:00 PM. This schedule repeats on August 21. The vigil on August 22 includes the Rosary and litanies at 6:30 PM, a pre-festive Holy Mass and Triduum at 7:00 PM, and an evening of music with LA CORRIDA band at 9:00 PM. The main festival day, August 23, starts with a procession at 9:00 AM, accompanied by the "G.Verdi" Musical Band from Santa Maria del Cedro. A solemn Eucharistic Celebration will take place in the churchyard at 11:00 AM, including the presentation of the Sacred Heart Shields. In the afternoon, enjoy the Santa Margherita Games – Memorial Donato Alfano & Egidio D'Anna at the Sports Field at 4:00 PM. Another Holy Mass is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The evening continues with live music from the VOGLIA D'ESTATE band at 9:30 PM, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at midnight.
