The 23rd Festa di San Jacu transforms Taviele into a 9-day celebration of rich Friulian culinary tradition. Indulge in local specialties like cjarsons, ricotta and spinach gnocchi, frico, and Abruzzo-style arrosticini, all while enjoying live music every evening. This charming village festival offers a vibrant atmosphere with concerts, games, awards, and a solemn Holy Mass. It's a true celebration where conviviality and delicious food take center stage.
Prepare your taste buds for a feast of Friulian delights! Start with a Sardellata appetizer, then dive into hearty first courses like cjarsons and delicate ricotta and spinach gnocchi. For your main, choose from succulent Abruzzo-style arrosticini, grilled meats, crispy cheese frico, potato frico, baked sea bream (orata al cartoccio), and grilled vegetables. Don't forget a side of crispy french fries!
The festival kicks off on FRIDAY, JULY 17th, with an inauguration at 6:30 PM, followed by a dessert delivery at 7:00 PM, and live music at 9:00 PM with On Cloud Nine. Special dish: Sardellata. SATURDAY, JULY 18th, features live music at 9:00 PM with I Flames. On SUNDAY, JULY 19th, enjoy musical entertainment at 12:00 PM with The Exstore, an awards ceremony at 12:00 PM, and evening music at 9:00 PM with Overlook. Special dish: Arrosticini dall'Abruzzo. WEDNESDAY, JULY 22nd, hosts a checkers tournament for pairs at 8:00 PM. THURSDAY, JULY 23rd, brings live music at 9:00 PM with Duo Sandruvi. On FRIDAY, JULY 24th, catch the 45 Giri Coverband live at 9:00 PM. The festival concludes on SATURDAY, JULY 25th, with a Holy Mass at 7:00 PM at Chiesa di San Giacomo, followed by live music at 9:00 PM with Fire's Singers (presented by Mattia - Etre Etre).
