September 2, 2026 – September 6, 2026 · Bertinoro (FC)
Bertinoro celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Festa dell’Ospitalità, an event culminating on the first weekend of September. This festival revives a medieval tradition of hospitality, symbolized by the Colonna degli Anelli (Column of Rings). The program blends history and contemporary culture with theater, music, poetry, dance, and civic discussions. Food stalls will offer traditional Romagnola cuisine and local specialties.
Indulge in authentic Romagnola cuisine, featuring local specialties like Piadina Romagnola IGP, a delicious flatbread. Complement your meal with regional wines such as Romagna Albana DOCG and Romagna Sangiovese DOC, offering a true taste of the area.
The festival runs from Wednesday, September 2nd, to Sunday, September 6th. Highlights include a special City Council meeting and the inauguration of the “CASTELLI di ROMAGNA” exhibition on Wednesday. Thursday features a poetry award ceremony and a performance by Iza&Sara Quartet, followed by Ascanio Celestini's play 'Poveri Cristi' (ticketed). Friday kicks off with informational stands on local products, a 'Cena della Vendemmia' (Harvest Dinner) with AIS Romagna sommeliers, and live music from TOTAL PEPPERS. Saturday includes the XI Premio Giovanni Gatti award, the unveiling of Marcello Di Camillo's mural 'L’abbraccio,' a concert by Rock E45, and a ticketed performance by Nicolò Fabi. The grand finale on Sunday features a historical parade with the 'Brunoro II' flag-wavers, the reenactment of the Hospitality Rite, children's activities, a concert by Matilde, and a spectacular fireworks display at 11:00 PM. Food stalls will be open daily, offering Romagnola cuisine from local volunteer associations, with additional international stands joining on Friday and Saturday.
