Get ready for the Festa delle Rose in Busalla on Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th! This highly anticipated event in the Genovese hinterland was recognized in 2024 with the “Eventi di qualità” (Quality Events) mark by the Unione nazionale delle Pro Loco d’Italia (Unpli) and as an “Evento autentico ligure” (Authentic Ligurian Event) by the Region. Attracting an average of 20,000 visitors annually, it's one of the most beloved food and wine events in the province of Genoa and Liguria, a true celebration of beauty and tradition. Busalla transforms into an open-air garden for two days filled with gastronomy, meetings, exhibitions, workshops, and markets. These main events are preceded by a series of collateral activities in the weeks leading up to the festival, all celebrating the Slow Food Presidium of the Valle Scrivia Syrup Rose in all its forms: from rose gardens to potted plants, from cosmetic products to culinary delights. Following opening events on Thursday and Friday, the 24th edition officially kicks off on Saturday with the unmissable Sagra delle Antiche Rose della Valle Scrivia, entirely organized by the Pro Loco. Held in the Piccola Velocità tensile structure adjacent to Piazza Colombo, you can enjoy an exquisite themed menu for lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. Throughout the weekend, local restaurants and bars will serve dishes and aperitifs inspired by the symbolic flower of Valle Scrivia, and shops of Civ il Ninfeo, exceptionally open on Sunday, will be adorned with themed window displays. On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, various exhibition areas will be open: Piazza Macciò – Featuring the Antiche Rose della Valle Scrivia and their derived products, alongside local food and wine excellences; Giardinetti di Largo Italia – A market for crafts, roses, and aromatic plants; Via San Giorgio – A market for typical local products and small crafts; Piazza Colombo and Piazza Ferralasco – A market offering food products, floriculture, crafts, and street food. Sunday also includes the Fiera di Sant'Antonio, located along the Lungo Argine Scrivia. As always, a rich program of activities, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and shows will take place between Villa Borzino and other locations in the city. All events offer free admission.
