In Novafeltria, nestled in the Rimini hinterland, this festival revives a cherished community tradition. It's a joyful celebration to give thanks for the grape harvest and prepare it for winemaking. Historically, grapes arrived in the piazza on flower-adorned carts pulled by oxen or mules, then were poured into vats and pressed by young maidens and children. During the weekend of September 25th and 26th, you can experience this all over again, with traditional folk songs and dances, tastings of local dishes featuring grapes and autumn fruits, and wines from the region's best wineries. There will also be discussions about the future of our food and wine culture. You can also visit the town's historic cellars, reopened for the occasion, rediscover ancient crafts and the wine production cycle with antique tools, play old-fashioned games, and browse the market stalls.
