Tolmezzo transforms into the capital of apples for four days, celebrating its 30th edition with food and wine stands, conferences, live cooking shows, and entertainment for all ages. The heart of the festival is the Pomis Arena in Piazza XX Settembre, where tastings and themed events will take place. The event also includes a market exhibition of products under the Io Sono FVG brand and a rich cultural and entertainment program.
Indulge in a variety of apple-based dishes, from sweet treats to savory creations, alongside a selection of authentic local products proudly bearing the Io Sono FVG brand, showcasing the best of Friuli Venezia Giulia's regional specialties.
The Festa della Mela offers a packed schedule of events. On Thursday, September 17th, enjoy a musical evening at 8:30 PM at Teatro Candoni with 'Pierpaolo Foti,' celebrating 30 years of apples and 25 years of twinning, and a book presentation at 6:30 PM at the Comune. Friday, September 18th, features a musical gathering at 8:00 PM at Giardino Caserma Cantore (limited entry) and a book presentation at 5:00 PM at Palazzo Frisacco. Don't miss the Drum Circle at 5:30 PM in Piazza XX Settembre. The Apple Market Exhibition runs all day Saturday, September 19th, and Sunday, September 20th. Saturday evening brings special guest Alex Neri, DJ and founding member of Planet Funk, to the squares of Tolmezzo from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Guided tours of 'La Poesia dello Sguardo' at Palazzo Frisacco are available Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 PM, featuring works by Gauguin, Picasso, and more. Sunday, September 20th, also includes the 10th edition of the 'Camminata del Dono' walk. Throughout the festival, explore 'La via del gusto Io Sono FVG' market on Via Del Din, a photography exhibition on the Friuli earthquake at Via Cavour, Corte Cussigh, and 'Chaos.' by Sara Cescutti at Palazzo Frisacco. Kids can enjoy inflatables on Via Raimondo della Torre, animation with 'Carnevale e Dintorni,' and a Children's Market on Via della Torre. Piazza Domenico da Tolmezzo hosts Az Lireste (bees and cheesemaker) and Allegra Fattoria (domestic bees, face painting). Savor typical apple-based dishes from local associations and restaurants. Engage in giant chess, softair, dance with Funnycenter Academy - ASD DanceFit, and Kart in Carnia. There will also be a conference on the health benefits of apples by Dr. Dassi and Dr. Pierluigi Guida.
