Experience the Festa della Castagna in the charming village of Monzone, nestled in Lunigiana. Organized by the Pro Loco Valle del Lucido, this festival kicks off at 2 PM with food stands offering local delights like cian, castagnaccio, roasted chestnuts (caldarroste), fritelle, and sgabei. From 5 PM, cocktails will also be available. The star of the show is the DOP Lunigiana chestnut flour from the Terra del Lucido Farm, featured in many of the delicious treats.
Indulge in a variety of local specialties, including sweet castagnaccio and fritelle, savory cian and sgabei, and classic roasted chestnuts (caldarroste). Refreshing cocktails will also be served.
