The 45th Festa della Castagna takes place amidst the enchanting woods of Leofara, offering breathtaking views of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The star of the show is the authentic Leofara chestnut, celebrated with chestnuts roasted over an open fire, guided visits to the chestnut groves, roasted chestnuts (caldarroste), arrosticini (grilled meat skewers), polenta, chickpea soup, and traditional fritters. The festival also features entertainment for children, a briscola card game tournament, live music, and a DJ set.
