On October 25th and 26th, the Centa San Nicolò (TN) event area hosts the Festa della Castagna della Valle del Centa, a celebration of chestnuts! Enjoy delicious roasted chestnuts, dishes made with chestnuts, scenic walks through ancient chestnut groves, and a market featuring local produce. The program also includes special dinners and lunches, entertainment for kids with traditional games, a tombola (bingo) organized by the Pro Loco, and a concert.
Indulge in a delightful array of chestnut-infused specialties! Savor traditional Trentino barley soup, exquisite chestnut pastries, and Strauben (a local fried pastry) made with chestnut flour. Don't miss the gnocchi in a rich chestnut sauce or Spätzle with melted butter and crispy speck. Of course, plenty of roasted chestnuts will be available, along with chestnut flour bread and hearty polenta served with wild boar stew and chestnuts.
