The Mountain Honey Festival in Lauco celebrates high-altitude Alpine honeys and traditional local products. This event offers tastings, workshops for children, live music, and a Slow Food market. It's a fantastic opportunity to discover the fascinating world of bees and the unique local bee flora.

Join us on August 23, 2026! The festival kicks off at 9:00 AM with the opening of the high-mountain Alpine honey market and Slow Food stalls, featuring typical mountain products. Enjoy live music and interviews by Radio Studio Nord throughout the day. Witness live wood carving by Eddj Cicutti Team and local artisans, and explore an exhibition of historic beehives. At 9:30 AM, dive into 'The World of Bees' workshop for all ages. At 10:00 AM, take a botanical walk to discover the local bee flora around Lauco (2 hours). A conference at 10:30 AM will discuss 'Bees and Territory: The Experience of Protecting the Carnica Bee in Carinthia' with Arno Kronhofer. At 12:15 PM, experience a unique 'APEritivo' (honey-themed aperitif) with international mixologist Gegam Kazarian - Kazaris. Guided tastings of high-mountain honeys begin at 3:00 PM, followed by a bee-themed treasure hunt at 4:30 PM.
