The Mountain Honey Festival in Lauco celebrates the unique high-altitude alpine honeys and other traditional local products. Join us on AUGUST 23, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM for the festival inauguration and the opening of the High Mountain Alpine Honey market, featuring Slow Food presidia and typical mountain products. Enjoy live music and interviews by Radio Studio Nord throughout the day. Witness the creation of wooden sculptures by Eddj Cicutti Team and local woodcarvers, and explore an exhibition of historic beehives. At 9:30 AM, delve into 'The World of Bees' with a workshop for all ages. At 10:00 AM, take a botanical walk (2 hours) to discover the local beekeeping flora around Lauco. At 10:30 AM, attend a conference on 'Bees and Territory: the experience of protecting the Carnica bee in Carinthia' with Arno Kronhofer, president of the Hermagor Beekeepers Consortium, in collaboration with the Udine Province Beekeepers Consortium. At 12:15 PM, enjoy a special 'APEritivo' (honey-themed aperitif) with international mixologist Gegam Kazarian - Kazaris, MaGika li ki dō. At 3:00 PM, participate in a guided tasting of high-mountain honeys, followed by a beekeeping treasure hunt at 4:30 PM.
