Step back in time to Renaissance Italy at the 44th edition of Festa del Duca in Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage city. This four-day historical reenactment brings the majestic court of Montefeltro to life with 150 events across the city's piazzas and the stunning Palazzo Ducale. Organized by ARS Associazione Rievocazioni Storiche, the festival features historical shows, games, markets, and traditional taverns. Highlights include the thrilling Gioco dell’Aita sporting challenge under the Torricini on July 14th, a national award ceremony at the Palazzo, and this year's exciting addition: a grand chivalric tournament, the “Giostra del Duca,” featuring 10 prodigious knights and special commentary by Gene Gnocchi. The historic center's streets will transform into the Antica Fiera del Duca di Urbino, bustling with merchants and artisans, while the monumental area will host a historical market adorned with festive decorations. Street artists, jugglers, tightrope walkers, acrobats, and musicians from eleven companies across Italy will fill every street. Don't miss the archery and fencing tournaments, historical games and shows for children daily from 5 PM, and the ducal taverns offering enchanting experiences throughout the day in this magnificent Renaissance city.
