Chiaramonte comes alive! Estate Chiaramontana is a rich summer program of events that animates Chiaramonte Gulfi throughout August and September. This festival offers a wide variety of happenings, from religious celebrations to concerts, theatrical performances, and food and wine tastings, involving various districts and squares of the municipality. It's a perfect opportunity to experience the Chiaramonte summer amidst culture, music, and traditions.
Indulge in delicious Sicilian street food favorites like Arancine (fried rice balls), Crispelle and Frittelle (savory fried dough), Focacce, and hearty sandwiches with Porchetta (roasted pork) or Salsiccia (sausage). Don't miss the roasted Pannocchie (corn on the cob) for a true taste of local flavors.
The Estate Chiaramontana program is packed with diverse events: 📅 AUGUST 2nd: Start early with LA FILIPPIDE Marathon at Antica Stazione at 4:30 AM. 📅 AUGUST 3rd: Enjoy a DANCING EVENING by "University Dance" at Giardini Comunali at 9:00 PM. 📅 AUGUST 4th: Kids (6-11 years old) can join the SUMMER TEATRO LAB theatrical workshop at Giardini Comunali from 6:30 PM, followed by a family picnic at 8:00 PM, and a theatrical performance "Calù" by Abaco - Il Teatro Conta at 9:00 PM. 📅 AUGUST 5th: Join the FESTEGGIAMENTI IN ONORE DEL SS. SALVATORE with "Canto in Piazza All Together" featuring the Coro Polifonico and Ensemble Strumentale Cantus Novo at Scalinata Della Chiesa del SS. Salvatore at 9:00 PM. 📅 AUGUST 6th: Experience IMMF-STRINGS AWAKENING with The Young Artists of IMMF in Concert at 9:00 PM (location TBD). Also, attend religious celebrations for FESTEGGIAMENTI IN ONORE DEL SS. SALVATORE at Chiesa del SS. Salvatore from 8:00 AM. 📅 AUGUST 7th: Savor "CALICI SOTTO LE STELLE" (Wine Under the Stars) at Locanda Gulfi at 9:00 PM. Later, enjoy FESTEGGIAMENTI IN ONORE DEL SS. SALVATORE with Musikanten – a Franco Battiato tribute concert at Piazza SS. Salvatore at 9:30 PM. 📅 AUGUST 8th: Celebrate FESTA DELLA CONTRADA "ROCCAZZO" with the traditional "Cappelluzza" and tastings of roasted Pannocchie, Arancine, and Frittelle at Piazza Sac. Curatolo at 8:00 PM. Also, a theatrical performance "U Ruppu ra cravatta" by "Amici del Teatro" at the same location. Later, attend the TRADIZIONALE "CAPPELLUZZA" in honor of Maria SS. di Gulfi in the San Giovanni district at Via Lauria at 9:30 PM. 📅 AUGUST 9th: Enjoy IMMF-STRINGS & WINE, an evening of Brahms at Cantina Gulfi with the IMMF Orchestra and faculty at 9:00 PM. Also, a TRADIZIONALE "CAPPELLUZZA" with Eucharistic Celebration and the traditional "Cena" of gifts from the faithful in Roccazzo at 8:00 PM. Don't miss SICILIA CABARET theatrical performance at Piazza SS. Salvatore at 9:00 PM. 📅 AUGUST 10th: Attend the book presentation "LA RESTAURAZIONE DELLA PROPRIETÀ" at Giardini Comunali at 8:30 PM. Another TRADIZIONALE "CAPPELLUZZA" in honor of Maria SS. di Gulfi in the San Giovanni district at Piazza San Giovanni at 9:30 PM.
