📅 Saturday, September 5, 2026: The Corsa degli Scalzi takes center stage as young penitents, known as Is Curridoris, run 7 km barefoot. Dressed in white tunics, they carry the wooden statue of San Salvatore from the dirt paths of Sinis to the church of San Salvatore in the muristenes village. 📅 Sunday, September 6, 2026: A procession of women in traditional Cabras costumes winds through the village, accompanied by the sounds of launeddas and accordions. As evening falls, the statue returns to the church of Santa Maria di Cabras. 🎵 Throughout the festival: Enjoy traditional Sardinian music, engaging workshops, delicious food stalls featuring local specialties, captivating exhibitions, lively shows, and spectacular fireworks. 🎊 Additional traditional rites take place in the week leading up to the main event.
