The 47th edition of the Contesa dello Stivale is ready to ignite, bringing back the atmosphere, colors, and spirit of a captivating era. Year after year, the Contesa is more than just a historical re-enactment; it's a vibrant challenge where the city's seven Contrade (districts) compete for the coveted Stivale (Boot), a symbol of victory, skill, and deep community pride. What to expect from this edition? Parades and Shows: Experience meticulously reconstructed period costumes, the rhythmic beat of drums, and performances by our Sbandieratori (flag-wavers) and Tamburini (drummers). All enhanced by the established collaboration with local dance schools, La Luna Dance Center and Danzarte Revolution. The Challenge for the Stivale: The best Contrada members will face off in traditional medieval games and an exciting relay race that will crown the winning Contrada. Taverns and Ancient Flavors: Immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere by savoring traditional local food and wine at the historic taverns Marina, Monti, Stimmate, and Stivale. Who will conquer the Stivale? Who will manage to snatch the title from Contrada San Biagio this year and earn the honor of setting the Effigy ablaze?
