Borgate in Festa brings Sappada (Plodn) to life with three days dedicated to the culture, traditions, and identity of one of the most charming villages in the Dolomites. Organized by Pro Loco Sappada, the event invites you to stroll through the historic hamlets, rediscovering customs, flavors, and ancient crafts through a rich program of events for all ages. Food stands will be open throughout the festival.
Indulge in authentic Sappada recipes, offering a taste of local culinary heritage. Don't miss Insra Plotilan, a sparkling local specialty perfect for celebrating.
The festival kicks off on July 10th at 5:00 PM with the opening of food stands, followed by an 'Evening for Guests' at 9:00 PM featuring the Holzhockar di Sappada folk group at the Pro Loco tent in Piazzetta Hoffe, and a DJ set at 10:00 PM. On July 11th, enjoy wood carving demonstrations of masks by the Consorzio Mascherai Alpini at 10:00 AM. In the afternoon, there will be presentations: 'I mascherai dell'arco alpino' by the Consorzio Mascherai Alpini at 2:30 PM, and 'PLODAR VOSENOCHT' with the Associazione Plodar at the Pro Loco tent at 2:30 PM. Roaming music starts at 3:00 PM, and a children's workshop 'Il luogo magico' by Ortoteatro takes place at 3:00 PM at the Pro Loco tent. The evening heats up with a Party Rock featuring BRUNO E I BELLI DENTRO at 8:30 PM at the Pro Loco tent, and another DJ set at 10:00 PM at the Sci Club tent. The final day, July 12th, features chainsaw carving with the Eddj Team at 10:00 AM, a children's workshop 'IL FIENO' with Julia Artico at 10:00 AM, and a visit to the Sappada vineyard in Borgata Fontana at 10:00 AM.
