BargaCastagna 2026 celebrates the humble chestnut with a rich program of gastronomic events and entertainment. You'll find stands offering traditional roasted chestnuts (mondine), sweet chestnut crepes (necci), delicious chestnut fritters (bombonecci), and warming mulled wine. Enjoy lunches and dinners in the piazza featuring a variety of chestnut-based dishes. The event also includes live music and the traditional 'Gara dei Mondinari' (Chestnut Roasters' Competition).

The festival kicks off on Friday, October 30th, with food stands opening at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner in the Piazza at 7:30 PM, complete with live music. Saturday, October 31st, brings more delicious food from 12:00 PM, a special Halloween celebration at 4:00 PM, dinner at 7:30 PM, and live music featuring STEVE MARTIN. On Sunday, November 1st, stands open at 12:00 PM, with lunch in the Piazza at 12:30 PM, and the traditional Gara dei Mondinari (Chestnut Roasters' Competition) taking place at 3:30 PM in Barga-Piazza Pascoli.
