Get ready for a wild ride with Articolo Trentino, a band that's less about music and more about a collection of eccentric personalities! Pietro “la roccia” Cappelletti, the bassist, is considered one of the top 100 bassists in all of Mattarello. A former drag queen in Caracas's seediest clubs, he returned to music to avoid a life-altering surgery. He subsists solely on malt and hops in all forms, yet somehow seems the most normal of the group. (He's not.) Sergio “nonno” Tessadri, on keyboards, is the 'elder statesman' who played for Chopin before his ragtime pivot. He lives in a retirement home for artists, trading adult magazines for unfiltered cigarettes. He often ends up hundreds of miles from the concert venue, sleeps under a bridge, eats McDonald's leftovers, and hitchhikes home. For him, every gig could be his last. Renato “Ghedda” Labalestra, the guitarist, is the group's alternative spirit. He joined after posting an ad in a truck stop bathroom on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway. He only wears clothes salvaged from recycling centers, pretending to be an Iraqi refugee, but he's actually a former tomato picker from Tavoliere delle Puglie who came to Trento seeking fortune. Instead, he found them. Max “salamandra” Vit, the drummer, is the newcomer, but highly sought after. He found his rhythm by years of hoeing in his uncle's garden, then as a sheet metal worker. An interregional indoor twerking champion, he's not above accompanying older men for a Peroni. Paolo “manolesta” Mairer, another guitarist, is the virtuoso who even sleeps with his guitar, fathering two twins: Paul and Les. (You'll get that joke in six months.) A former guitarist for TheRoldeg Stones, he's been with this 'anomalous family' for twenty years and can't quit. Roberto “brodegon” Laino, the singer, is to blame for starting this group but refuses to take responsibility. He can't even sing. He often wakes up in strangers' homes with no memory of how he got there, then empties their fridge, uses the bathroom without flushing, and flees. He often pleads semi-insanity, and his children have asked to change their last name.
