Get ready for a wild ride with Articolo Trentino, a band whose members are as eccentric as their music! Pietro “la roccia” Cappelletti, the bassist, is considered one of the top 100 bassists in all of Mattarello by many experts. A former drag queen in Caracas's seediest clubs, he returned to reform the band, saving himself from a definitive operation that would have prevented him from peeing standing up. He lives exclusively on malt and hops in all their forms. He seems the most normal of the group. He isn't. Sergio “nonno” Tessadri, on keyboards, is the 'elder statesman' of the group, having played as a session musician for Chopin until his ragtime breakthrough at the beginning of the last century. He lives in a retirement home for elderly artists, hawking pornographic newspapers for unfiltered cigarettes. He often mistakenly shows up hundreds of kilometers away from the concert venue, spends the night under a bridge, eats McDonald's leftovers, then hitchhikes home. For him, every concert could be his last. Renato “Ghedda” Labalestra, on guitar, is the alternative one. He joined the group thanks to an ad he left in truck stop bathrooms on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway. He only wears clothes salvaged from recycling centers, pretending to be an Iraqi refugee. In reality, he's a former tomato picker from Tavoliere delle Puglie, who came to Trento looking for fortune. Instead, he found them. Max “salamandra” Vit, the drummer, is the newcomer, but highly sought after. He discovered rhythm by hoeing in his uncle's garden for years, then as a sheet metal worker in a Nonesa mechanical workshop. An interregional indoor twerking champion, he doesn't mind accompanying older men in exchange for a Peroni. Paolo “manolesta” Mairer, on guitar, if he were a book, he'd be 'Sometimes They Come Back.' If he were a movie, 'The Taming of the Shrew.' He's the guitar virtuoso, even sleeping with it and fathering two twins: Paul and Les. (You'll get that in six months.) Already a guitarist for TheRoldeg Stones, he's been part of this 'anomalous family' with Roberto, Pietro, and Renato for twenty years. And he can't stop. Roberto “brodegon” Laino, the singer, it's all his fault. He started this group but refuses to take responsibility. And he can't even sing. Sometimes he wakes up in strangers' houses without knowing how he got there. Then he empties the fridge, uses the bathroom without flushing, and runs away. He often pleads semi-mental infirmity.
