Agosto Settembre Gualdese (ASG) 2026 is the historic festival of Gualdo Cattaneo (PG) that brings the village to life with medieval reenactments, inter-district games, historical parades, live music, DJ sets, and the traditional Arrampicata. Every evening, the Taverna del Voltone opens its doors, offering local specialties in a unique atmosphere of history, traditions, and entertainment. In 2026, the event celebrates its 51st edition, running from August 27th to September 3rd.
Every evening, the Taverna del Voltone will be open, inviting you to savor authentic local specialties from the Umbria region. This is your chance to taste traditional dishes prepared with care, offering a true culinary journey into the heart of Italian flavors.
Get ready for a week of excitement at Agosto Settembre Gualdese! The festival kicks off on Thursday, August 27th, with a youth soccer tournament at 5:00 PM, followed by the opening of Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM. Enjoy inter-district Badminton games at 9:30 PM and a DJ Set by Mario Manero at 10:30 PM. Friday, August 28th, continues with more soccer at 5:00 PM, Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, and inter-district games including a Women's Relay at 9:30 PM and the Corsa delle Due Botti at 10:00 PM, with a DJ Set by Dee & Alessia DJ at 10:30 PM. Saturday, August 29th, features soccer semifinals at 5:00 PM, Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, and a national Drummers' Competition at 9:30 PM, followed by a DJ Set by Bongi Brothers at 11:00 PM. Sunday, August 30th, brings the youth soccer final at 5:00 PM, Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, a spectacular parade of Medieval Floats dedicated to San Francesco, and a DJ Set by DJ Seba at midnight. Monday, August 31st, offers Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, inter-district Archery games at 9:30 PM, and a DJ Set by Bongi Brothers at 10:30 PM. Tuesday, September 1st, has Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, a live performance by the cover band "88 Folli" at 10:00 PM, and a DJ Set by DJ Seba at midnight. Wednesday, September 2nd, includes a Holy Mass for Santi Martiri Antonio e Antonino at 6:00 PM, Taverna del Voltone at 8:00 PM, a motorized procession for Beato Ugolino at 9:00 PM, and a performance by the cover band "Crossing Over - Sound System" at 10:00 PM. The grand finale on Thursday, September 3rd, starts with a Eucharistic Celebration, investiture of priors, and blessing of canopies at 6:00 PM, followed by the Arrampicatina time trial for young participants at 7:00 PM. Taverna del Voltone opens at 8:00 PM, with the reading of the proclamation and presentation of Contrade runners at 9:00 PM.
