The 59th SANGIORGESE festival brings seventeen days of celebration, music, and delicious food to San Giorgio di Livenza. Every evening, food stands open, offering local specialties like grilled pork ribs (costa), sausages (salsiccia), grilled rooster (galletto alla brace), baccalà (salted cod), tripe, and tagliatelle with duck ragu. The program features live music, children's shows, sports presentations, and a community bike ride, all culminating in the Festa della Famiglia (Family Festival) and a procession honoring Maria Madre della Chiesa.
Indulge in a variety of authentic Italian dishes, from rich first courses like tagliatelle with duck ragu to hearty main courses such as grilled pork ribs, sausages, and rooster. Don't miss the traditional Frico, a savory cheese and potato dish, or the unique Cotoletta Baccalà (fried salted cod cutlet) and tripe. Finish your meal with a selection of delightful local desserts.
