Get ready for the 54th edition of the Festa della Castagna, a beloved chestnut festival taking place from October 2nd to 18th, 2026, at the Pro Loco multipurpose center in Colmaggiore, Tarzo. For over five decades, this festival has celebrated the exquisite marroni (sweet chestnuts) from the Tarzo hills with fantastic food, cultural events, and sports. On October 3rd and 4th, don't miss the 17th edition of 'Lo Spirito degli Antichi Sapori,' a special event featuring historical re-enactments of traditional crafts, local food producers, live music, and delicious food and wine specialties.

The festival kicks off on Friday, October 2nd, at 7:00 PM with an 'Aspettando la Festa della Castagna' aperitivo featuring Giacomo Sarcinelli, along with panini and beer. Saturday, October 3rd, at 3:00 PM marks the opening of the 17th edition of 'Lo Spirito degli Antichi Sapori' in Piazza. Enjoy an exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles, and witness 'Mestieri Antichi' (ancient crafts) like 'Far Sgnapa,' 'Far Formajo,' 'Far sù el Porzel,' 'Far Zést,' and 'Folar l'Ua.' The 'Il Puffetto' mini-train runs at 5:00 PM, and live music by Gnuco Alpen Sgnapa Band starts at 5:00 PM.
